Ithaca is sadly lacking on that front.  What does ‘affordable’ mean? Because I find it really hard to believe that Portland actually has affordable rent. Then again, I’ve never been there. This is just speculation. I lived in a 2 bedroom that was like $875 a month split between three people. Pretty affordable for a city.  Oooh I’m applying to grad school in Portland.  And $875 between three people is really good.  I live in North Dakota and I pay a little under that but I even live in a crappy campus apartment.
